Catherine is originally from Scotland and has just recently relocated to Jersey to be with her partner.

Catherine graduated with a degree in English in July 2003 and until moving to Jersey worked for British Gas. She was the Recruitment Manager responsible for recruiting all frontline staff and completed her CIPD Personnel Practice qualification. She then went on to become Contact Centre Manager were she developed and managed the Outbound Retention Department.

She originally came to 1st Recruitment seeking assistance to further her career in Jersey and was offered a position within the company due to her skills and experience.

Why I like working for 1st Recruitment

My first impression of 1st recruitment was how friendly and helpful all the team were and how happy they were in their working environment. When I was offered the position I knew it was the role for me. I wanted to be a part a team that listen to their candidates/clients to meet and exceed their expectations. The team is dedicated to always “doing the right thing”.

I love my role as temp controller because it is very varied and fast paced. I meet lots of temps during my working week and I enjoy learning all about the person and their skills. I believe everyone has something to offer and our candidates can offer a lot to our clients.
