Lorraine is originally from the UK, although she has been in Jersey for 18 years. She has gained a wealth of experience within Banking, Investments and Funds, whilst previously employed by large blue chip organisations. The majority of her roles have been within client services because Lorraine really enjoys helping people.

Her last role was in fund administration and due to restructure Lorraine’s team were all made redundant. Lorraine attended a recruitment session being held by 1st Recruitment where she met Lynda Sims (MD) and they struck up a rapport instantly. 

Why I like working at 1st Recruitment

After being given the news that my team where being made redundant, I felt, I wanted to strike out and do something new. Recruitment is something that I have always wanted to do, the main reason being, I really take great satisfaction from helping people and I thought that I could combine my financial knowledge and my customer service skills. After meeting with Lynda I knew this was something that I definitely wanted to pursue. Working at 1st Recruitment is great, the team are wonderful we all care about each other and our candidates; I feel that unity gives us the edge. I love going to work because each day is very different, but for me there is no better feeling than, helping people find the right job.
