Lynda was born in the UK and has a history of turning underperforming businesses into highly successful organisations with her entrepreneurial flair. She has bundles of energy and is a very 'hands on' M.D. Her career initially took off when she was appointed the youngest manager at the age of 19 of a large multiple travel organisation and after many mergers and acquisitions, further promotions and relocations throughout the UK she gained invaluable experience and a sound knowledge of how successful businesses work.

She invested in her first UK business at the age of 23 and moved to Jersey in 2000. After spotting a gap in the market for a quality recruitment agency she launched 1st Recruitment in Jersey in 2002 and after much success and client demand for the same high quality service in Guernsey she opened Placing People 1st in Guernsey in 2005. In 2007 1st Recruitment in Sydney was born and the company is now a global brand.

She has designed a company that works for applicants and clients, using best practice, practical experience and enthusiasm. Lynda has been recognised by the Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC) UK, as UK Business Manager of the Year 2003 and she was also recognised in the Jersey Young Manager of the Year in 2002. She loves her work and maintains long-term relationships with both clients and candidates.

Why I created 1st Recruitment?

"I wanted to create an agency that was different, refreshing and really positive about helping people.’Can't do' is not in my vocabulary and I much prefer to exceed expectations because it gives me a real buzz.

I want people to remember how we made them feel rather than what we did and making people feel good about themselves and the future is fantastic. I know that what we do works from the feedback we receive from candidates and clients.

As a company we don't sit back, we listen to what people want and take a proactive part in bringing out the best in people and opportunities. I believe 1st Recruitment is the company that goes the extra mile in recruitment"
