Adult Disability Support Worker

An opportunity has arisen for an individual wanting to begin a career as a Support Worker to join the adult disability service that supports people with a learning disability. The role holder can be based in a variety of settings including residential homes, supported living, short break service and the outreach team. The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of maintaining the areas using the active support model, this may include cleaning, shopping, washing ironing, cooking etc. Service users will be encouraged to participate in these activities with the staff. This position requires a friendly, approachable candidate who is willing to work towards the Level 3 VQ Diploma in Health and Social Care or equivalent (e.g. Level 3 BTEC Advanced Certificate in Positive Behavioural Support). The role holder must also hold a valid driving license and have competent IT skills.
