Customer Services Assistant - Front / Back Office

To purpose of the role is to provide a high quality customer service, including face to face and telephone customer contact relating to a range of benefits administered, as well as working within the Back Office environment. You will deal with customer queries, identify irregularities in claims and determine follow up action which may include referring possible fraud/ non-compliance to the relevant Team Leader. Filing, photocopying, diary management, processing benefit claims and accurate data input. You will check computer reports, audit daily output, investigate anomalies and make appropriate amendments so that beneficiary and payment details are maintained accurately; interview customers wishing to access any of the services offered; validate the accuracy of claims for consultation fees submitted and prepare the claims for authorisation. The successful candidate will have good general education with a minimum of four GCSEs including Maths and English; administrative skills with the ability to deal with many high priority issues at the same time and possess some experience of working within a customer-focused environment.
