Regulatory Economist

A unique opportunity to join a small and highly specialised team responsible for the economic regulation of the utilities sectors in Guernsey.  The role holder will analyse regulatory and policy issues through information gathering from inside and outside the business and economic and financial analysis.  They will also manage external advisers to help analyse regulatory issues and advise the leadership team on the appropriate response to regulatory and policy issues.  Projects can require technical, economic, legal and communications skills and the role holder will be expected to support colleagues in several areas.  This role requires an Economic Consultant, Utility Regulator or an individual with extensive experience in an in-house regulatory role, with a MSc/Degree in Economics and experience of applying economic analysis (competition economics and/or regulatory economics) to business, regulatory and policy issues.
