Advanced Specialist Speech & Language Therapist (Band 7)

We have a fantastic new opportunity for an Advanced Specialist Speech & Language Therapist in Guernsey. In this role, you will manage a clinical caseload and provide a highly specialist service to adults with speech, language, communication, and/or swallowing difficulties in acute, rehabilitation, continuing care, and community settings. You will provide assessment and intervention as an autonomous practitioner, using sound clinical reasoning skills and evidence-based practice to develop effective, individualised care plans. The idea candidate will have Level C RCSLT Dysphagia, Level 3 RCSLT VFSS, and RCSLT Tracheostomy competencies, along with knowledge of alternative and augmentative communication systems, such as high- and low-tech options. This role includes a full relocation package, covering interview and relocation travel, competitive pay, and an annual bonus. There is also subsidised accommodation for those travelling to the island alone, and an 8-year employment permit for those relocating with a partner and/or family member(s).
